Na de grootse belangstelling voor de wereldpremière van Intouchables in Concert en een snel groeiende wachtlijst, kondigt Cinema in Concert een extra concertreeks aan in februari 2027. Naast de eerder aangekondigde wereldpremière in oktober 2026 krijgen bezoekers hiermee vier extra kansen om de geliefde Franse filmklassieker live te beleven met een symfonieorkest.
Tijdens Intouchables in Concert wordt de internationaal geliefde film van Éric Toledano en Olivier Nakache voor het eerst ter wereld live begeleid door het Noordpool Orkest onder leiding van dirigent Anthony Gabriele, terwijl de volledige film op groot scherm wordt vertoond. De iconische muziek van Ludovico Einaudi wordt live uitgevoerd, perfect gesynchroniseerd met de film.
De wereldpremière vindt plaats op 12 oktober 2026 in Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, gevolgd door concerten op 13 oktober in Amsterdam, 14 oktober in De Doelen Rotterdam en 15 oktober in De Vereeniging Nijmegen. Vanwege de grote vraag voegt Cinema in Concert nu een tweede concertreeks toe met uitvoeringen op 15 februari 2027 in De Doelen Rotterdam, 16 februari 2027 in De Vereeniging Nijmegen en 23 februari 2027 in Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
Intouchables groeide uit tot een van de grootste Europese filmhits aller tijden. De film vertelt het ontroerende en humoristische verhaal van Philippe, een rijke aristocraat die na een paraglidingongeluk verlamd raakt, en Driss, een jonge man uit de Parijse banlieue die onverwacht zijn verzorger wordt. Ondanks hun totaal verschillende achtergronden ontstaat er een bijzondere vriendschap die hun levens voorgoed verandert.

The North Pole Orchestra has been an innovative ensemble for contemporary music since 2009. orchestral music. Fundamentally, the orchestra does not play traditional classical music, but ontwikkelt het een uitgesproken eigen klank waarin hedendaagse compositie, elektronica, improvisatie, pop, jazz en niet-westerse invloeden samenkomen.
The orchestra realizes a wide variety of projects, from its own concert productions and multidisciplinary collaborations to film and theater productions. The World Premiere of the multi-award winning, much-loved film Intouchables will mark 32 concerts for Anthony with Cinema In Concert, having previously conducted the spectacularly successful 007 “trilogy” of Casino Royale, Skyfall en Spectre, Life On Our Planet, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back en How to Train Your Dragon dirigeerde.
Anthony has been traveling the world for over 30 years, conducting more than 60 orchestras, in 25 countries, and regularly performs with musicians from the Royal Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Korean National Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra Ireland, and Luxembourg Philharmonic. He has worked with artists as diverse as singer-songwriters Ronan Keating, and Anastacia; percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie; organist Anna Lapwood; accordionist Ksenija Sidorova; and violinist Daniel Hope.
As a Musical Director on London’s West End, and internationally, his credits include Sweeney Todd, The Lion King, CATS, The Phantom of the Opera, The Wizard of Oz, Funny Girl, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound of Music en EvitaAs a past prize winner in the international opera conducting competition Blue Danube Musik Impresario (Vienna), Anthony’s opera credits include Don Carlo, La traviata, La bohème, Don Giovanni en Madama Butterfly.
Anthony’s exciting 2025/2026 season includes performances at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Amsterdam’s Het Concertgebouw, and the Seoul Arts Centre. He is back on stage with multi-platinum singer-songwriter Anastacia, for new performances of Anastacia – Live at the Symphonyand renews his celebrated collaboration with National Symphony Orchestra Ireland and Theatre Director Séimí Campbell, this time for a concert version production of the Bernstein/Sondheim musical West Side Story.
For Cinema in Concert, Anthony will return to The RTM Stage in November, with the brilliant sequel How to Train Your Dragon 2.
