The musical and visual journey through the World of Wonders is not yet over… After having welcomed no fewer than 30,000 Efteling fans in 2022 and 2023, returns Efteling in Concert – Reprise back this autumn in an intimate theatre setting in the most beautiful concert halls of the Netherlands and Belgium.
Especially for all new Efteling fans and visitors of the first edition who want to relive the concert, Efteling in Concert is returning this autumn.

Guided by iconic Efteling music, this magical concert brings the story of the park to life. Efteling can rightfully be called Dutch cultural heritage. The park, the attractions, and the music are in the DNA of every Dutch person. During ‘Efteling in Concert’, a musical and visual ode to the park is presented.
Performed live by the Metropole Orchestra
During this unique concert series, the Grammy-winning Metropole Orkest supported by choir PA’dam and soloists, under the direction of conductor Maurice Luttikhuis, a specially developed piece, in which the music of the Efteling comes to life in a majestic way. From the grand and magical atmosphere of Symbolica, to the dark Danse Macabre from the Spookslot and of the iconic music of the Indische Waterlelies to the adventurous sounds of RaveleijnYoung and old alike immediately imagine themselves in the World of Wonders that is Efteling.
From the music of the early years to contemporary additions, and from unknown gems to works forever linked to Efteling that everyone knows by heart. Efteling in Concert covers all memories of the legendary park while simultaneously creating new ones. Visitors dream away to the poignant melodies of Droomvlucht or be whipped up by the Oriental music of Fata Morgana.
Young and old are once again immersed in the magic that has shaped generations!

When you think of an orchestra, you think of classical music. But that is not what the Metropole Orchestra (MO) plays. Instead, it plays jazz, pop, soul, funk, cabaret, musicals, film music, and world music. From the present and from the past. The Metropole Orchestra enjoys worldwide recognition as the professional pop and jazz orchestra and plays a pioneering role with its unique lineup. The MO has shared the stage with greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Pat Metheny, Brian Eno, Herbie Hancock, The Basement Jaxx, and Bono, but also with contemporary talents such as Caro Emerald, Jacob Collier, and Gregory Porter.
Over the past 70 years, the MO has produced more than 150 albums and contributed to thousands of radio and television broadcasts. This means that more than 600 arrangements are created annually across various genres. In recent years, the orchestra has been nominated for a Grammy no fewer than 21 times and has contributed to 4 Grammy-winning productions. Despite its musical diversity, the MO possesses an unmistakable sound, style, and identity.
Choir
PA’dam is a contemporary vocal ensemble consisting of versatile, ambitious professionals and is under the energetic leadership of conductor Maria van Nieukerken. They distinguish themselves through an enterprising attitude, versatile programming, and an original approach. PA’dam zingt(!) Bachs Goldbergvariaties tot Efteling in Concert with the Metropole Orchestra in Ahoy Rotterdam. Of the subtle Canto Ostinato- The Vocal Experience to symphonic metal with EPICA at Afas Live.
The visual implementation of Efteling in Concert is in the hands of director and concept creator Jerom Fischer. Jerom Fischer: “My goal was not simply to collect footage from the park, but to develop a style entirely of my own that leaves room for the ‘magic of memories,’ so that every viewer can recognize and relive their own memories of Efteling.”
Specifically for this concert, together with art director and set designer Jason van Domburg, he developed a world of silhouettes and shadows that support the music. An enchanting miniature world consisting of hundreds of carefully carved wooden layers forms the basis of every scene. In this way, every piece the orchestra plays will soon take on an entirely new feel.
The impressive music of Efteling evokes a nostalgic feeling in everyone. Imagine yourself back in your childhood and experience the magic of the park with the same wonder as before.
