The one and only composer and soloist Lisa Gerrard has flown in especially and will take the stage with more than 140 top musicians from the Noordpool Orkest and Nederlands Concertkoor .
Together they will create a unique interplay between the epic film scenes and one of the most successful soundtracks in film history!

With a vision and vocal style that is as unique as it is precise and all-embracing, Lisa Gerrard has established herself as one of the world’s most highly acclaimed film composers, winning a Golden Globe for her work on the score for ‘Gladiator’ with Hans Zimmer. Especially for Gladiator Live, she is flying over to perform her own work live and enchant us with her beautiful voice!
Her musical journey began in the early 1980s when she and fellow Australian Brendan Perry formed duo ‘Dead Can Dance’. In 2012 the band reunited for a sell-out world tour. With nine albums released between 1984 and 1995, the duo's musical canvas expanded with each release to take in a timeless mix of world-music influences, medieval chants, folk ballads, baroque stylings, Celtic flavours, electronics, samples and anything else that took their fancy. Several solo and collaborative albums were well received and Lisa made a natural progression to composing for films.

The Noordpool Orkest consists entirely of professional musicians and has played with soloists such as Douwe-Bob, Waylon, Ellen ten Damme and Bert Visscher. They performed on the main-stage of Pinkpop and are opening this year's North Sea Jazz Festival. In 2019 they existed for 10 years and performed in theater halls with our Love Actually in Concert shows.

Benjamin Pope is proud to be associated with CineConcerts, and is a highly experienced conductor of live film screenings in concert with a large repertoire of titles performed in concert halls and large-scale arenas throughout the world, including the Harry Potter in Concert Series, Gladiator, Amadeus, Titanic, DreamWorks Animation, Disney titles, and the original Star Wars trilogy among other modern classics, as well as having conducted in the silent movie genre including Chaplin.
Benjamin has conducted orchestras worldwide including the Orchestra of the Vienna State Opera, Royal Philharmonic, Dresden Staatskapelle, Dresden Philharmonic and Hallé Orchestras, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Staatskapelle, Tokyo Philharmonic & Scottish Chamber Orchestras, Osaka Symphony, Luxembourg Philharmonic, Ulster Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony, Munich Symphony, Lahti Symphony, Iceland Symphony, Orchestras of RTÉ (Ireland), ERT (Greece) and BBC (UK), Britten Sinfonia, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Orchestra of the 21st Century, Czech National Symphony, as well as many other orchestras and choirs in the USA, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, France, Japan, Turkey, South Korea, Austria, Czech Republic. He has toured to Jamaica and Africa with the Royal Philharmonic, and worldwide with The Royal Ballet.
